Angela Maier from Essen in Germany won the German national lottery, receiving a 330,000 pounds windfall.
Her win prompted the care home where her husband died to send her a bill towards his medical expenses, ‘metro.co.uk’ reported.
She opened the letter after downing five bottles of champagne a few days after she won the lottery.
She apparently became angry with the bill and destroyed the cash rather than have some of it taken from her, the report said.
