CoBRA commandos to "defang" Maoists in the wildernesses of Sukma



New Delhi: Strengthening its make plans to flush out Maoists from the wildernesses of Chhattisgarh, the CRPF has chosen to send 2000 a greater amount of its break commandos, the CoBRAs, in Naxal-plagued Sukma region.

CRPF objects sharing of operational experience by retiring personnel of armed forces

The objection came during a meeting called by Personnel Ministry with representatives of CRPF, Defence and Railways ministries, among others to encourage submission of write-ups on 'Anubhav'--a portal for the retiring central government employees to showcase commendable work done by them during their service.

CRPF representative attending the meeting said that there are some things related to the armed forces that should not go in public domain and hence this information cannot be put on the 'Anubhav' website.

"CRPF representative also stated that as most of the soldiers' time is spent on operational activities in field, it will be a risk to the national security and could compromise the safety where they are deployed," according to the minutes of the meeting held on May 8.
