Happy New Year, has hit yet another box-office milestone. According to reports, the film grossed nearly Rs 300 cr worldwide in its first eight days. Farah Khan's film totalled Rs 237 crore in India and Rs 63 crore from overseas. For Shah Rukh Khan, Happy New Year is his second Rs 300 crore grosser after Chennai Express. With this Happy New Year made it to the list of all-time top 10 Bollywood grossers.

Reports suggest that on the first day Super Nani's collections were Rs 40 lakhs and the film hardly grew on Saturday and Sunday. High expectations were associated with the film which was marked as the comeback of evergreen actress Rekha but the growth of the film was limited due to the competition of Happy New Year. Despite of the brilliant starcast, including Rekha, Randhir Kapoor and Sharman Joshi, the Inder Kumar's directorial film failed to impress critics as well as the audience.
