BJP leader Nishikant Thakur launches ‘one note, one vote’ campaign in Madhepura

The BJP started ‘one note, one vote’ campaign to reach out to voters at their doorsteps to boost party’s electoral prospect and meet the election expenses.

Speaking to journalists, Thakur said he understands the public grievances very well after spending 35 years in media. “I am here to get in touch with people directly and address their problems,” he added.

“States like Gujarat are doing well, whereas Bihar remains a backward state,” he said.

When asked to comment on Madhepura MP Sharad Yadav, Thakur said, “He is a senior leader and also the president of Janata Dal (United). The constituency is yet to see development. I am a resident of Madhepura and associated with soil of this place. I understand the pain of people.”

Born in Bihar, Nishikant Thakur has started his new innings by making foray in active politics. He has massive support and social influence in the region. Sources said that Thakur may contest from Madhepura on BJP ticket.
