Besides Tiwari, the party also expelled Lok Sabha members Jainarain Nishad, Purnmasi Ram, Sushil Kumar Singh and Mangani Lal Mandal from the party.
Jainarain Nishad and Sushil Kumar will reportedly contest from Muzaffarpur and Aurangabad Lok Sabha seats respectively on BJP tickets.
Purnmasi Ram and Mangani Lal Mandal have shown their inclination towards RJD. They are likely to be given RJD tickets.
Shivanand Tiwari was reportedly miffed over party’s decision not to renominate him in Upper House. Tiwari was asked to contest LS polls from Buxar. Tiwari denied the party’s offer and criticised the JD (U) leadership.
