IAS officer's death: Karnataka government must refer matter to CBI, says Sadanand Gowda

Gowda further said Karnataka government refusing for a CBI probe will bring the state dispensation under dock.

“People feel Chief Minister, state government cannot conduct free and fair investigation,” Sadananda Gowda said. “DK Ravi's death case has created suspicion in people's mind,” he added.

Karnataka government on Tuesday announced a CID probe into his death that has evoked statewide outrage and protest.

As the 35-year-old IAS officer D K Ravi's death rocked the Assembly with public pressure also building up for a CBI probe, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the CID would probe the case to unravel the "truth"--whether it was a suicide or murder or due to "some other" reasons.
