Rajnath advises Kejriwal to give up confrontational attitude, says NCT Act governs capital

Kejriwal has been advised not to resort to confrontation and has been explained that rules framed by the Home Ministry were in accordance with the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, the sources said.

The advice came when Kejriwal told the Home Minister about the difficulties being faced by the Delhi government in the wake of the ongoing tussle with LG Najeeb Jung over transfer and postings of bureaucrats, official sources said.

During the hour-long meeting, Kejriwal and Sisodia sought the Home Ministry's cooperation in running the Delhi government and conveyed to Singh that because of the constant tussle with the LG, smooth functioning of the administration has become tough.

The sources said Kejriwal asked the Home Minister to intervene and ensure that all issues with the LG are resolved amicably.

"The Home Minister gave them a patient hearing and assured full cooperation from the central government," a source said.

Singh also asked Kejriwal to resolve all issues with the Centre and the LG amicably through cooperation as government can function only through rules, regulations and cooperation.

Sisodia told reporters after the meeting that they have raised all issues concerning Delhi but there is no outcome.

This is the first time Kejriwal has met the Home Minister since the tussle between the AAP government and the LG over the appointment of senior IAS officer Shakuntala Gamlin as acting Chief Secretary.

Lenovo, LG named as Microsoft’s Windows Phone partners

Representational picture
These new Windows Phone 8 partners will supplement the existing Windows Phone partners HTC, Samsung and Huawei, according to company officials who shared the updated list at the MWC show.

These changes announced on Monday will certainly add more appeal and higher volume to the platform around the world. The changes are good for Microsoft to indirectly address growing concerns that its upcoming acquisition of Nokia's device division would limit the interest of outside manufacturers.

Microsoft also announced details about the next Windows Phone update, presumably 8.1, which should be arriving in spring 2014. It is believed that it will bring support for low-end devices (such as those with 512MB of RAM and 16GB of storage), as well as better support for non-touch devices.

The new version of the platform will also support phones with Snapdragon 200 and 400 chipsets, as well as dual SIM devices, paving way for low and mid-range device makers.
